Altima International is pleased to announce a very special and unique artwork commission opportunity, to be created by respected and celebrated artist Bruce Helander, who recently was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame, the first time in history that this recognition was awarded to any current or former resident of Palm Beach.
Over the past twenty years, Helander has been creating This Is Your Life collages for individuals who want to permanently document and commemorate their lives and achievements. The collage may incorporate photos of their families, close friends, important life events, work, education, travel, and hobby memorabilia, and other favorite images that are color copied from original photographs or objects and incorporated into a memorable composition.
Helander’s work can be found in over 50 museum collections, including the Whitney, Guggenheim, The Metropolitan, Art Institute of Chicago, Smithsonian, Los Angeles County Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, among others. Regionally, the artist has been the subject of one-man shows at the Norton Museum, Museum of Art, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton Museum and the Coral Springs Museum of Art.
Some of the most prominent art collectors in Palm Beach own Helander’s work, as well as many notable collectors in America. Helander has been commissioned to create collages for Dale and Leslie Chihuly, Hollywood producer Mike Medavoy, Dennis Hopper, Dan Marino, Jim Pappas, Jane Holzer, Rob and Linnette Miller, Cheryl Gowdy, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Robert Montgomery, and Lewis & Mary Schott, and such organizations as The Washington Opera, Boston Film Festival, Palm Beach Illustrated, The New Yorker, Center For Creative Education, Absolut Vodka, Arthur R. Marshall Everglades Foundation, Children’s Miracle Network, Enterprise National Bank, Nat King Cole Generation Hope, Hudson River Museum, Martha Phillips, Jazziz magazine, Washington Opera, and the United Nations.
